Ready, Set, Sew! The Great Guild Jelly Roll Race is On!

Unroll your competitive spirit and rev up your sewing engines! On Thursday, July 16th, our regular guild meeting will include a high-speed drag race to the finishing line. The challenge? See who can piece a complete quilt top the fastest!
We are providing all the fabric strips you need to compete. There are absolutely no excuses—just pure, fast-paced sewing adrenaline and bragging rights on the line.
Your Racing Kit Checklist:
- Your fastest sewing machine (plus foot pedal and power cord!)
- Extension Cord
- A fresh spool of neutral thread, plus a bobbin filled with the same thread
- A medium or large pair of fabric scissors
- A Buddy to assist you during the race (if you do not have one, never fear. Just let us know and one will happily join you at the meeting.)
The Stakes:
We aren't just sewing for fun—we are sewing for glory. Prizes will be awarded to the speed demons who cross the finish line first with a completed top.
In addition, all completed quilt tops from the race will be given to the comfort quilt committee to be completed and gifted.
