October 23, 2026 9:00-3:30, Highland UMC
This is an introduction to the Square in a Square (SNS) System. We’ll start the day creating a Patriot block with interlocking stars. In class we will discuss Square ruler designed by Jodi Barrows. We will create Flying Geese quickly and easily. We’ll also learn to make Half Square Triangles using the SNS system.
Secondly, we will learn to take the basic square unit and “advance on” to create beautiful points of the Hunter Star quickly and easily without cutting triangles!
We will wrap up class with a discussion of block conversion and creating blocks in multiple sizes utilizing the charts of the SNS system. We will discuss using the charts of the SNS system to measure precisely to create exact points in multiple sizes. One ruler, 50 options!
