September 2013 Block Party Pattern

This month we will make an easy nine patch block. The winners will receive blocks and
instructions for a disappearing nine-patch quilt.

• Cut four (4) 4 1/2 inch blocks from the fabric provided by Block Party.
• Pick one dark and one medium or light coordinating fabric from your stash.
• Cut one (1) 4 1/2 inch block from the dark and four (4) 4 1/2 inch blocks from your
• light/medium fabric.
• Put the dark square in the middle and the squares provided by BP in the corners, like the
• diagram below.
• Sew the blocks together with a 1/4 inch seam for a block measuring 12 1/2 inches. Please do
• not square up your block. Turn your block in at the October meeting. Good Luck!!
