Cut: 4 — 3 ½ squares

Cut 5 — 3 ½ squares

Purple Fabric – provided

Cut 1 1“x 9 ½” Strip

Cut 1 1”x 9 ½” Strip

Step 1: Make a Normal 9 Patch Block. The block will measure 9 1/2 x 9 1/2

Step 2: Measure over 4 ¾ “and cut down the center of the block

Step 3: Sew the Purple 1 x 9 ½ inch strip between the 2 pieces

Your unit will now measure 9 ½ x 9 ½ inches

Step 4: Rotate the block so that the purple strip is going left to right

Measure over 4 ¾” and cut down the center

Step 5: Sew the Purple 1 x 9 ½ inch strip between the 2 pieces

Your unit will now measure 9 ½ x 9 ½ inches
