Our mission is to showcase the artist talent in our local guilds to the community. We expect to display over 400 quilts from guild members showcasing all styles of quilting from traditional to modern and everything in between.

Special Exhibitors

image Spoonflower -A Durham based company, founded in 2008, that makes it possible for individuals to design, print and sell their own fabric. “The Spoonflower community now numbers over 1 million individuals, who use their fabric to make curtains, quilts, clothes, bags, furniture, dolls, pillow, framed artwork, costumes, banners and much, much, more.” Their marketplace offers the largest collection of independent fabric designers in the world. They will be bringing examples of what they do with fabric. We will also display our guild challenge blocks, along with their online contest, “Spring Floral Cheater Quilt Block Challenge” as examples of their cotton fabrics.
Quilt Trails of Western NC Quilt Trails of Western North Carolina will have maps and descriptions of the quilt trails through Burnsville, Arbuckle, Bakersville Roan Mtn, Bee Log, Celo & Parkway, Green Mtn & Relief, Lickskillet to Westside, Pensacola, and Spruce Pine. They will also have examples of the quilt block designs that they make for the barns & buildings on the quilt trail.
Museum NC Museum of History will discuss the Museum’s quilt and textile collection. Guest lecturers will be presenting on Friday and Saturday. At any of the lectures, you may preview and purchase their book, “Pieces of History- Quilt Patterns from the North Carolina Museum of History, Volumes I & II.
qov-logo Quilts of Valor Foundation-North Carolina- Learn about the their organization’s mission and how to participate. Quilts of Valor will be presenting quilts to local veterans Friday morning just before the show begins at 9:30 in the Kerr Scott Building lobby.
