Select your two fabrics

Your two fabrics should be high-contrast such as black, red, or navy & white. Other options are blue & yellow, or brown & cream. Small patterns will work, but obvious stripes or diagonals will not.

Want to really take on the challenge? Here’s two options for fabric selection:

BONUS CHALLENGE OPTION 1

Use a large print for fabric B and fussy cut parts of the pattern. If you do that, I would suggest that you pick one of the colors of the large print and purchase about a yard of that because there are some areas that you need to be solid/not busy.

BONUS CHALLENGE OPTION 2

Even though this is not a scrappy quilt, if you want to be really wild and crazy you could choose 6 different fabrics for A and another 5 or 6 for B. If you do this, the directions will include where and how to place these fabrics.
