Disappearing 4 Patch

July/August 2015

Kit Contents:

5×10 inch piece – A

5×10 inch piece – B

Directions

1. Sew Fabric A to Fabric B; block will measure 10” x 9.5”
2. Measure down 5 inches from the top and cut

3. Lay out fabrics so that Fabric A and B are diagonal to one another

4. Sew unit A to B and B to A

5. Once the 4 patch is constructed, it will measure 9.5” x 9.5”
6. Make four cuts without moving the block (see diagram)
   1. Cuts are made 1 inch from sewn center seams

7. You will now have 9 separate pieces to be sewn together after:
   1. Swap the top middle section with the bottom middle section.
   2. Swap the right middle section with the left middle section
   3. Rotate small center 4 patch 180 degrees

8. Sew the pieces back together to form the new block (see diagram)
