This month we will make a Log Cabin Block and all the fabric is provided.

It is important that the pieces of the block are cut and positioned carefully to make the block fade correctly from dark to light.

Use the following picture to cut your fabric into 9 pieces and mark them with the numbers indicated for ease in making the block.

Sew Pieces #1 and #2 together.

Sew Piece #3 to the bottom of the resulting piece.

Sew Piece #4 to the left of the resulting piece.

Sew Piece #5 to the top of the resulting piece.

Sew Piece #6 to the right of the resulting piece.

Sew Piece #7 to the bottom of the resulting piece.

Sew Piece #8 to the left of the resulting piece.

Sew Piece #9 to the top of the resulting piece.

Your block will look like this when completed. It should measure 12 ½ inches.
