Cutting:

Cut two 2.5″ black squares

Cut two 2.5″ white squares

Cut two 2.5″ x 4.5″ strips from polka dot fabric (supplied)

Cut two 2.5″ x 8.5″ strips from same polka dot fabric (supplied)

Assemble center four patch by placing four squares (with black squares in opposite corners) and sew all four together.

Press.

Sew 2.5″ x 4.5″ polka dot rectangle to each side of four patch.

Press.

Sew 2.5″ x 8.5″ polka dot rectangle to top and bottom of piece.

Press.

Block will finish at 8.5″ square
